Description
A stretched or frayed hood release cable makes opening the hood a struggle, and a broken one leaves you locked out of the engine bay. This hood latch cable restores smooth, reliable operation on your 1977-87 Chevy or GMC Square Body truck.
It connects the release handle under the dash to the latch on the radiator support, routing through the firewall grommet just like the factory setup. A pull releases the primary latch so the secondary catch can be opened by hand. Built as a direct fit for an easy swap.
